It is my great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. Kareem Downer-Shojgreen. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Downer-Shojgreen at Grand Ledge Public Schools. I can state with confidence that he is a motivated and responsible person with a high degree of integrity.

As the Assistant Superintendent for Grand Ledge Public Schools I feel that I know Mr. Downer-Shojgreen quite well. In this role as a technology coach, he had a considerable amount of responsibilities, and he handled them effortlessly. We met on a weekly basis and he would share his progress with staff and the next steps in helping teachers use technology more effectively and efficiently in their classrooms. He showed his skills to communicate with all staff members, help them problem solve, lead professional development and move teachers forward in their use of technology.

Mr. Downer-Shjgreen would always take the initiative to identify problems and devise solutions. His role requires strong communications skills, and he has shown that he not only has these skills, but that he also has the ability to inspire respect and cooperation in teammates. He has shown that he is a very intelligent person with a mind well-suited to working to make changes happen in schools districts.
